Hello again users, bots, and general narnars (Read: Guests.)!
It's me Sy, here to update this page because no one has for awhile.
Again.

This is actually only my second frontpage post ever, so yay!
Moving on.

Things have been going steady here at EF.
Fid has been working on updates for the site, including some that involve the Reputation feature.
Kaze still doesn't have internet at his place, so he's around much less.

There are a few more cool new users who have fast become regulars. That's of course good news.

Sadly, the world still has some stupid people in it. Ah well, lightning should solve that eventually.

I fixed the first post. There were unneeded [sy] tags and such.

Also I wish everyone a good year and such. I would edit it in the first post but it's not really significant enough.

But without sy tags it becomes white text on the front page, doesn't it?

No, it's his post so it's naturally like that even on the front page. Tags or not.

The only reason to use them is if say someone like me wanted to add something but make it so it looks like my own text.

You only need tags for the edits, not the original poster.
So the sytags aren't needed when I post.
Just like FD tags aren't needed when you post, and Kaze tags when he posts.

Hrrrm, you're right. I removed the Sy tags earlier as they were showing up as text. Guess someone removed a "/" or somthing.

Oh well. It's all fixed now.

For the hundredth time:

Custom text doesn't show up on the front page, as I modified vBulletin to do that, not the vBa CMPS, so, rather then screw around with the PHP and/or template files, I added tags for each of us, which we were in need of for other applications (like editing someone else's posts) anyhow. So, in front page news posts, the person writing the post needs to encapsulate their post in their own tags, and editors need to do the same to text they insert, NOT within the other person's tags.

For instance:

[sy]Sy goes on rant

[kd]Darkey gets to feel included[/kd]

Sy finishes rant[/sy]

is wrong. The correct method for Darkey to use upon editing Sy's post would go as follows:

[sy]Sy goes on rant[/sy]

[kd]Darkey gets to feel included[/kd]

[sy]Sy finishes rant[/sy]


*gasp*

What, are the things going on in my life not worth mentioning? It's not like I said cheese right in the middle of his post, he mentioned what you/Kaze were up to so why teh eff can't I? I have a right to feel included you know.
